Pocomed Properties Newsletter March Magazine no 2
29 March 2006

Welcome to this months newsletter. With no great cheer being offered by Mr Brown in his Budget for either those who already own their property or first- time buyers looking to get onto the property ladder, now is a better time than ever to make the move overseas or start building your property portfolio. This week also saw the declaration of a permanent ceasefire by the Basque separatist group Eta in a move timed to urge the Spanish and French governments to join them around a negotiating table and try to sort out the future of the region. We hope there is a resolution to the Basque question soon, but this move by Eta will only go to boost the confidence of travellers throughout Spain.

Much as we may wish to avoid thinking about it, for a large proportion of people looking to buy a property overseas retirement enters the equation. That may be as a way of funding our old age, or as a place in slightly warmer climes to ease those aches and pains.

A new development in Spain caters for the needs of those looking to retire to the sun, but who wish to buy into a lifestyle resort concept.

Spain maintains its position as one of the most desirable locations for people looking to retire to or as a location for long term stays to avoid the worst of the UK winter weather , and the reasons for choosing Spain are simple: weather , lower cost of living , the lifestyle and the fact that its only a couple of hours away.

Now this established market can offer a new and exciting opportunity aimed at the over 50’s – Residencial Balneario - Campos Del Rio. It’s a unique concept for buying the perfect holiday or permanent home, and designed to appeal to the 50’s plus age group who are looking for something special. Rather than just property, Residencial Balneario is designed as a complete lifestyle approach that includes services and style at an exceptional price.

As we all know, the Brits are very fond of their pets and for many the companionship of man’s best friend is second to none. However, what happens when you decide you want to relocate and take old pooch along with you? When we decided to move to Spain, four years ago, we wanted our two dogs to come with us, both Yorkshire terriers. We were surprised to discover what a simple process it actually was and were pleasantly pleased by the amount of help and advice we received.
