Public Services
Postal Service in Spain is very effective. There are offices in every province for any postal service, including sending letters and packets, international money orders, fax service, telegrams, etc. They are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., though some offices are also open in the evening. We must point out that Spain has a very important philatelic culture. its stamps, lectures and collector clubs are internationally known.
If you want to make international or domestic calls, you can use one of the numerous public phones you can find in every city.
Shops time tables vary, but in general you do not have to get up very early if you want to go shopping in Spain. Stores open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They open again at 4:30 a.m. and remain open until 9:00 p.m. In big cities, big stores and shopping centres do not close at midday.
